Would appreciate some information regarding a Beneteau 36s7. Would you consider this a good boat for a novice sailor or is this kind of boat (race-cruiser) more for someone with more experience? I have heard that this boat could be much more work than a traditional cruiser. I really like the lines on the 36s7 and the interior is spectacular. Also, would this boat be more difficult to sell down the road since it has a more aggressive rigging setup and there could be fewer buyers available looking for this type of setup? It is what it is!

Paul, as I stated in my article this morning, I got my boat primarly for racing, however I will also use it to cruise San Francisco Bay and the Delta. I have two sets of sails racing and a Dacron main and #3 with furling. Plan to add an asym spin later this year. I will let you know in a couple of months if the boat is to much for my wife and I to handle in the cruising mode. Good luck.
