Beneteau 331 Non-Opening Port Problem

I have a 2002 Beneteau 331 which I bought last year. I have noticed the build-up of mildew on the inner surface of the Port side non-opening port. The starboard side port is accessible from the aft stateroom and not a problem. The port side however is not accessible either from inside the port sail locker or from down below inside the galley cabinets. I called Beneteau Tech Service and asked their advice. They suggested to drill a small hole at the top and at the bottom of the plexi-glass ports to let air in and moisture out. I would rather try and access the port from the inside the boat and find a way to ‘vent’ the area from inside. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the exact same issue. Just started to mildew a little. I would think a couple small holes from the inside would make more sense, then maybe flush it out?
I assume it's polycarbonate which isn't very chemical resistant.
Please post what you end up trying.
Good luck...

same issue with my 2004

I also tried to access it from behind the refrigerator access area and locker but came to conclusion the port was never really cut out. Its more like a false port window with the hull behind it. It may not look good but it I gave up trying to clean it.
