There are so many ways to climb the mast that you will have to do some searches. But you need to figure out if you need to be able to go up solo, or have help. Figure out a safety line set up, etc. But if you look at the typical kit that a rigger uses for solo, they usually have a bosuns chair and a 4:1 block and tackle set up, depending on how strong you are. On my boat I use a bosuns chair and someone cranks me up. But there are other systems out there. Mast steps, strap like ladders, gre-gre's, etc

Unless you have the manuals for the lights you want to convert, you will need to climb the mast, remove the old bulbs, get the number stamped on the bulb and look up an LED replacement for it. Then go back up and install.

Gator, the difficulty with providing you with the bulb detail is that your boat was built in 2004. Last year, the boat was built. Are you the only owner? The boat was first built in 1999. It is not unusual for builders to use different lights as the build proceeds through the years. Your boat is 22 years old. It is possible that a previous owner changed the light fixture (upgraded a failed light) during that time.

With boats of this age, owners are left with their own discovery. Climbing the mast or buying a new fixture with the type of bulb they desire. Then it is a matter of removal and replacement. The bonus for the owner is that they get a clean cover over the light so that it functions at an optimum level.

Good luck.

PS.. it is often easier to do the removal and install if the mast is down. It would also be a great time to inspect the standing rigging. 22 years is a long time for rigging if it is original.
