I am planning to move from my Catalina 36 to a smaller boat. I want something easier to handle, and do not need the liveaboard space of the 36 any longer. The Beneteau 311 looks like a good choice, but I am a little concerned about how tender the boat may bein a blow. I sail on Lake Erie, normally in 10-15 knots and 2-4 ft waves. However, tha lake can kick up to the 15-20+ range and 4-6 ft waves on short notice. The 311 is fairly light but it has reduced sail area and a long waterline, so I'm not sure what I could expect. I'd appreciate any comments from owners on how they feel it handles when the weather kicks up a little. Thanks!
