Displacement

The First 305 from around 1985 had a Displacement listed at 8,500 pounds or 3864 kg. The delta with your figure is 164 kg or 360 lbs which would seem about right for the weight for the engine. Fuel capacity is 9 gal and at, say, 6 pounds per gal this would be 54 pounds or 24.6 kg. As for the 'empty weight' for a rating I don't know how this is defined, but if it is the displacement less engine then your number appears very close. Hope this answer helps.

Displacement #2

No sooner do I send the response off and I find some new figures. The 8,500 lb displacement was actually the advertised displacement for the 1988 model year. In 1985 it was 7,100 lbs or 3,227 kg, significantly less than the 3,700 figure, and this is with a 15hp engine but the same Volvo 2002. By 1988 this engine is rated 18 hp. Soooo, seems like your boat is the '88 model.?? The keel figures for the '85 are 5ft 7ins or 4ft 5ins with an approximate ballast of 2850 lbs. For '88 the keel is 5ft 9ins or 4ft 6ins with an approximate 2954 lbs ballast. Interesting. The 305 was designed by Jean Berret and was first introduced in 1984.
