I have Whale LV1215 in line non-return valves for my electric heads to keep the wast/water in the discharge line from backing into the head. Does anyone have a better more reliable solution to keeping the bowels dry?

replace your joker valve as needed. I have two electric Jabsco toilets. Had to rebuild one this season because of this situation.... no back flow at all in either. I would imagine the back flow check valves would get dirty" and not be effective. The rise to top of tank on both mine is at lease 3 feet.

Thanks Greg, HAHA yes I need to do a better job checking my spelling!!
I will replace the jokers. Do you have the inline check valve as well or just the joker valve?

Just the joker valves....... On my toilets its a pretty easy operation to change them out.

Good Luck!

An inline check valve in any toilet discharge line is a BAD idea because it can get clogged up with waste, TP, and mineral buildup (if your toilet uses sea water).

If your toilet uses sea water, the only solution is frequent joker valve replacement. You can make sure that the water running back to the bowl is clean by adding a couple of beer cups of water from the sink after solids--which you should be doing AHEAD of solids anyway.
If your toilet is one designed to use onboard pressurized fresh water, you can replace the flush button with one that has 3 flush options--water in ahead of use, dry flush, and the same simultaneous water in/bowl contents out that you have with the single button.
