Hello Bene-owners.
Im about to buy a 473, but im a bit worried about the size.
Most of the sailing will be me and wifey, basically "single-handed"
As mentioned, the size of the 473 is a bit "intimidating" and im considering a 423 instead.
Its not about the sailing, but the mooring and anchoring that worries me.
Will 5 feet make that big difference?

Inputs are appreciated.!!

The 423 is the best looking of the "3" series, its proportions are just right. The 473 has too much freeboard and handling (mainly going alongside) in a wind might pose a problem. Also it is too heavy aft and sits down by the stern. One other factor, I don't like two wheels. I nearly bought a 423 but we did not like the galley layout (2 cabin model, not charter model). But I would choose the 423 over the 473.

Once you have 2 wheels you never go back!

Really - visibility is drastically improved, cockpit access/movement is excellent. My GF & I sail our B46 without any problems. Docking is not a problem as long as you take it slow and play the prop walk. The 46 is very similar in size to the 473 and I would go with the 473 myself.
