I've noticed over the last two years that I get water in the door way to the forward cabin when I am at anchor and the wind has kicked up some waves, putting a strain on the anchor. I am assuming the water is coming from inside(somewhere) as the only thing that gets wet is the mat just forward of the door.

I been thinking it might be from the depth sounder and daisy wheel for the speedo just forward of the keel. Any ideas?

Check to make sure your anchor locker drain is not stopped up. If it is, water will rise and into the cabin. I put a second drain on the other side, about 6 inches above the original one.

Had a similar problem with our front cabin and it was water blowing in under the front hatch gasket. Never leaked unless the wind was really kicking with a good rain. Good luck.

Yea I had this problem as well on my 351. I found that the FWD water tank access cover was leaking and the drip trail was not obvious so it did not look like it was leaking. I was unable to fix the existing access hole so I replaced it with a much more robust access spin on cover. GO to the Marine store and check the catalog for covers or on line. Just make sure the height will not interfere with the cover board on top of the tank.

Dobber, thanks! I just figured out the same thing you did. Was caught in a squall while at anchor in Horseshoe Cove, Sandy Hook, NJ over the Memorial Day weekend and found that the top of the forward tank was wet and then noticed that the tank wasn't caulked on the aft side of the tank, which is probably why the water went the way it did. Thanks to all for the help and suggestions!
