Hi, my Raymarine wheel pilot finally gave up the ghost and I'm planning on installing a B&G below deck autopilot. My boat is a 37' 1985 model without a lot of room under there. Has anyone done this?

Search forums. There was a thread about this not too long ago. It included a reference to a magazine article about the nuts and bolts of the installation. In June we sailed a Tartan 37 just under a 1,000 miles with a below deck autopilot and I developed great confidence in it. If you are going to do any distance or ocean sailing I think generically this system is better than belt driven systems.
I'm not sure if you still need any info on this install, but I have B&G below deck autopilot installed on my 1983 37'. I can share pics if you need them.
