After a great week of sailing...
I'm motivated to put some work into waxing her!!

Anybody have any thoughts on how to protect the non-skid deck areas?
...obviously not with wax!
Is there something that would help protect / seal it that wouldn't be slippery?

Starbrite deck cleaner...
Woody's wax if you feel so inclined (if you want shiny non-skid)... there is no way to make the S2 non-skid slippery, so its never been an issue (the tread pattern is like 1/4" high, it'll perforate your knees)...

James;

Like usual; -- very nice "deck ornament" ......

Like usual; spotless boat.

Sigmong Freud would say. " a spotless boat is a sign of _______________" :)

Looks like the MK II's have a lot more range on the genoa adjustments then the MK I's.

Glad to see you have life jackets on.

By the way, I just signed on as crew for a trip from the Chesapeake Bay to Antigua on
http://www.sailmarieelena.com/ Leaving November 1 as insurance rates go down --- hurricane season ends.

Captain Nick Cancro takes his boat o the Caribbean every winter.

Another bit of info -- the year was 1966 -- and my prom date was Nick's older sister. :)

(can't afford not to)
So yes, she's in excellent shape and well tended to!!
She gets compliments both in and out of the water!

Two things I noticed on your well kept MK II which I like. ( besides the deck ornament :) )
1) That the halyard turning blocks are mounted on the ends of the cabin hatch cover guides.
2) Looks like your genoa tracks are far longer then the MK I.

It looks like both halyards come out the starboard side of your mast -- making it necessary to come around front of the mast, then back. But the photograph is not that detailed.

...yes, deck ornaments are good!!!

And yes, the main & jib halyard both exit the mast on the right.
But since I have a roller furling jib, one of them is unused.
The line that runs through the left side turning block and back to the left side clutch is for my mast stepping A-frame.

Bella Barchetta is a totally bare-basic equipped rig.
