Hi all. I forgot to add this to my last post, but my boat was beeping occasionally while under sail and/or motor today. Fluids were good and the motor temp was normal. I even got the beep while under sail only. It came from the cabin somewhere, but I couldn't figure out where. I took the CO detector outside with me and the beep continued from inside. Any ideas? Steering and beeping
Hi Montenido; Do you have an autopilot installed? If so, could be you had it engaged and did not realize it? It would cause hard steering and also start to "beep" when you got to far off the set course. That would also explain why the surveyer could find no problems with the steering. The causes of being unable to steer because of linkage problems should be easy to spot. Make sure your Autopilot is off and not engaged, then check steering. Fair winds Dave
