The deck fittings on my O'Day have a black rubber like material about 1/16' of an inch thick that is sticky on one side and is between the fitting and the deck. Where can I get this stuff? What is it?

It was just a rubber gasket. Not really worth trying to replace. If you remove any of the deck fittings, I would check for any damage to the deck substrate (balsa etc.), repair and fill the hole with epoxy. Once set, drill the new hole through the epoxy plug and use butyl tape to replace the old gasket stuff.
