During decommissioning my 1984 H34 I note that the bedding that surrounds the strut that supports my prop shaft had a soft spot...no blisters no leaks during the year...appreciate any thoughts regarding 1. ignoring 2. cut out the soft spot 3. remove all and start fresh what would you recommend for repair in terms of product or procedure thanks

Rebed time?

Let me tag along here Eldon. My H37C has a similar problem. There was some sealant coming loose around the strut mount. Water lying in the hull from draining the water tank was dripping our very slowly. So I assume while it was in the water it was coming in? On my boat the bolt ends are not visible. They are under the shelve that the hot water tank sits on. Can you get a wrench on the nuts on the H34? I ask because I can turn the bolt from outside with a very large Philips screwdriver and vise grips. But they won't loosen without a wrench on the inside. My plan is to somehow loosen those nuts a quarter inch, fill the area under the strut with 5200, and retighten.
