We just bought a new Catalina 310, hull #333. The boat was delivered with bed sheets - but no bed cover. The dealer says it doesn't come with a bed cover, to call Catalina to order one. Catalina in California referred us to Catalina in Florida. Catalina in Florida knows nothing about it and needs to check with Catalina, California (isn't there ta term for this?). The brochure shows a bed cover in the interior shots but no one at Catalina seems to know anything. Have you other owners had your boats delivered with bed covers, or were you able to get them from Catalina post-purchase? My wife wants the bed cover to match the same material as the cushions in aft berth. Kevin

We didn't get any linens...

Hi Kevin, We didn't get any linens with our boat. Not even the sheets that you mentioned came with yours. So far we've just been using bed linens from home. So I don't have any experience with buying them from Catalina, or anyone else. I have heard, though, that there are places that make linens fitted to the shape of the forward berth mattress. bed cover issue

Morty, At the moment we're not sure if the bed cover is part of the package. It appears that it is not, but I'm checking with other 310 owners first. If it is not part of the package then I'll give the Catalina employees a chance to respond as to it's availability (we made our initial call on Friday). Then I will contact Frank Butler. Thanks, Kevin PS: I'm originally from Parkchester and familiar with City Island. I never sailed in NYC - not 'til I got out here. I'd love to sail in Long Island Sound someday.

Mark, I think you are probably right on the money, and your suggestion is a good one. Thanks, Kevin C310 #333

Bedspread not included

I have a C-310 hull number 274, purchased about 2 years ago. We bought the linen package - which included a great set of fitted sheets. It was a good deal. However, it did not include bedspreads, or anything like the floral covers shown in the 310 brouchures. I don't think bedspread like covers are orderable from Catalina.

Optional Item

As already mentioned, the linen package is an option. I'd heard some negative reports of the factory package, so we contacted a small local boat interior business and ordered sheets from them. She came to the boat and took measurements. We got to go out and buy the sheets of our choice. This gave us control of quality and pattern, and price. She picked them up and modified them to fit, with elastic around the foot, and elastic straps to keep the sheets on the mattress. Less sheets, we paid something like $150 for the front and rear berth.
