I've seen several posts lately about beaching a swing keel. Our boat is left in the water most of the year so we never beach it for fear of scrubbing off the antifouling paint. I usually drop the main anchor in 3 to 4 foot of water stern to shore and walk a second stern anchor ashore. Seems to be a reasonable compromise for us. "Festivity"
