Same class!

Our first year taking the Legend 37, so lots to learn. Really looking forward to it, what better way to learn the tweaks that work than a 2-day immersion!

Still something’s to get done between now and Wednesday when we’ll take the boat up to PoHo, but will be an exciting week.

Did you get a dock on the island?

Hoping for good weather, but regardless, have a safe & fast sail!

No dock on the island. Reservations at the Straits Marina in Mac City. We are in the same class and giving you time. Hope our little 30 footer can keep up.

We weigh 2.5x as much… so if it’s light, we’ll hope we can keep up!

It’ll be interesting nonetheless!

Stopped at the Straits Harbor last June, it’s a nice facility.

I’m not happy that we owe the other Legend 37 time, although very little. They have a larger roach main, larger headsail, and 40% larger a-kites… and we owe them time!

Anyway, best of luck! I’ll keep an eye on the tracker for how you guys are doing, and keep a look-out on the island/party for Jumpstart.

Current forecast which I guarantee will change 5 times before the start shows 18-20kts on the stern on Saturday. We will see if we can plane. Could be interesting. Good luck and beat that other Legend 37

The forecast will definitely change. Different things will happen in different places, too. We had a squall come over up by the Manitous. Huge black cloud with flashes and ominous rumbles for about an hour. We took the sails down and furled them. First came a half inch of hail on deck, where it stayed for thirty seconds until the wind blew it all off. We were doing eight knots dead downwind with no sails up, and 50+ knots showing on the anemometer for about fifteen minutes. Then it blew itself out. We hoisted sails again and there was no wind for about three hours. Interesting weather.

Marmalade is in PoHo, ready enough for Saturday! Now just to relax for a couple days!
