Need help with the selection of new batteries for a 2001, Hunter 320. Anyone using AGM batteries? I see 12v 1125mca, 12v 750cca and 12v 55amp listings but not sure how these differ for each other and the correct size I need.

What are you using it for, house or starting and if a house do you have electric refrigeration?
CCA and MCA are starting battery specs. Amp hours (AH) are house battery specs. they will all be either 12 or 6 volt.
If you are thinking AGM you need to insure that your battery charger and alternator regulator have setting for that type. Most have a setting for flooded (has caps and you add water) and another type. Just make sure the other type is AGM. AGM have different charging and float voltages than flooded batteries.
Just about any car battery is going to be able to start a small diesel engine during the sailing season. If you are going to be doing any frost bite sailing you will want to get the biggest starting battery that will fit in the space available.
House batteries are deep cycle batteries and trying to use auto batteries for this purpose will not work very well. You want a deep cycle battery for a house battery and get as many AH as can fit. Bigger is certainly better and last longer
My personal choice is golf cart batteries (two 6 volters in parallel).

Trojan's T-105"s

After my original 2-4-D's went bad last year on my 07 H-36 and do not miss those heavy monsters for sure decide after reading many discussions hear decided on the T--105 4 to be exact and could have saved $$$ on others but knowing my wife loves using lots of 12 volt's on our boat I felt Trojan's were way to go.
And been very happy with them,I use my 60 amp alternator and mostly being at dock use my Freedom 2000 inverter, charger for most of the charging.
They do a great job and check the water level often and maybe 1 time top off the water level just to play it safe, the 4-D's seem to use lots of water and did go low once or twice and maybe helped them die after about 5 years.
They were so much easier to handle too.

put the two 6 volt in Series to make 12V not Parallel. Parallel will give you only 6 volts
