Battery troubles

After reading all of your suggestions and reading the links; I think I will follow Tom’s advice and stop studying for my battery “doctorate” and get a couple of FLAs. I am overwhelmed by the amount of battery information out there.

One question I didn’t see discussed is the difference between group 27 and group 31? It seems like they are interchangeable?

I stuck 2) 6-volt, 210 AH golf cart batteries on my boat this year. The are smaller than a group 27 foot print, but they are a bit taller. For deep cycling, these are a good choice in a FLA battery. In series, these give me 210AH capacity at 12 volts. Got them at Sam’s Club for about $80 a piece…hard to beat for FLA technology.
