I am thinking of fitting a second battery on port side ( help to correct permanent list) and 1,2,both,OFF switch. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has done this and where they put that switch!!
I did not do the work on my H240 (it came this way), but the battery switch is more or less on the backside of the companionway stairs (i.e. in the aft berth). Also, both of our batteries are on the port side to help counteract the weight of the motor.
Thanks for this. So as I understand it, your switch is on the forward side of the bunk and the batteries are back aft of the bunk port side. Strikes me that that leads to very long cables and how are these run to the switch ? under the bunk?
Yes, the switch is on the forward side of the bunk (makes it easier to reach), and the batteries are aft of the bunk on the port side. I would have to look, but I am pretty sure the cables are led under the rear berth up to the switch.
