Batteries

We just bought 2 200 amp Rolls batteries and one AGM battery for the starting battery. Also included a Xantrex Smart Charger 40 to handle the extra power. Most power for the space issue we had. They fit where the old batteries did but were taller.

Batteries

I have added another battery to my E25, but if I were to choose what I would really want, it is AGM's. They have a better track record for not discharging nearly as much as flooded batteries. Also, they seem to hold up better to slight overcharging (gel's can be fried by this) and they don't leak shen they are not flat. Of course, at twice the price of flooded, they can dent the wallet pretty badly.

Scott, my two group 31 batteries were put

to bed last November at 12.35 volts and this April when I opened the boat they were down to 12.25 volts. The group 27 has been in the boat since 1999 and is still perfectly good. The house batteries are only 1 year old. You can decide how much that sort of result is worth.
