I have a Group 27 deep cycle battery and a Sunsei SE-1500 that does a pretty good job of keeping it topped off. It does require a charge controller so it doesn't fry your battery.
I've also replaced all of my lights, internal and external, except for the deck flood, with LEDs. My biggest power hog is the depth sounder at ~.65 amps.
