Looking at buying a battery to power the interior/exterior lights, etc. on my Mac-25. Can anyone recommend a battery in the $100-$200 range that will hold a decent charge, and require only a standard battery charger?? Thanks.

Interstate makes an excellent marine deep discharge battery in size 27 (SRM27B). We have one that is working great in our 25.5. Its used as a starter for our outboard and operates all the electrical systems in the boat. And its cost is only half of your budget.

Try two 6v golf cart batteries.
Tom: A couple of 6v golf cart batteries will do the trick. This will provide something in the neighborhood 200 - 375 amps depending on the batteries that you choose.

Lots to consider with batteries and chargers. I have a Decca AGM Group 24 Deep cycle, and a Guest 15A electronic charger too keep it topped up while I am away from the boat. Battery was about $150. Charger, also more than $100. There is too much to explain about batteries and chargers... And I am still learning... West Marine or Boat US catalogs have pages on each of these topics, that explain the basics.
