Have stripped out all the old electrical and am starting from scratch. Bought a couple of good books but still have some quesitons? I have a DC parrallel battery switch panel for 2 banks, a CL series battery link ACR and a xantrex link 20 battery monitor to install. Each says it has to be wired directly to the batteries? I am ok with the switch panel but cannot tell if I should have to seperate leads one to the ACR and one to the battery monitor or if there is a way to link the two? any thoughts? thanks

The ACR links the batteries and has nothing

to do with the LINK and its shunt. The ACR only works when charging source(s) are availble. Consider spending more time reading the instructions for the LINK while ignoring for the moment that you even have an ACR, then it may become clearer to you. The shunt goes on the negative side of the battery banks so lots has to do with how you have it wired. Draw a diagram and go back again to the instructions for the Link.

Install the link first.

The link system is not difficult but time consuming. Once that is installed and operational, install the ACR. They are two seperate systems - I agree with Stu. Read the manuals.
