Battery location on Oday 22.

Hi folks, could some please tell me where the battery on a 1975 Oday 22 is located? ( Am picking it up in a month, didn't see it when I looked at the boat.ThanksJack HartConover, NC

Hey Jack,I owned a 76 Oday 22. The battery was located under the port berth in my boat. Not sure if this location was standard or not.Although I moved up to a 302, I miss that 22. It's a fine coastal boat and it will teach you a lot. Good luck.Joe

Battery location

I believe that standard location was under the starboard seat next to the water tank. It was mounted on a plywood deck that often rotted away. There should be two wire leads that feed the control panel. The control panel comes off easily to reveal these wires.

Hummm,My water tank was located at the V-berth but again, mine was a 76 model

My '76 22 has not been altered from the factory condition any way that I can tell. My battery sits on the little plywood shelf already mentioned directly behind the starboard berth. Access is through the cockpit hatch.
