I am in the process of negotiating for a 1988 34. The boat has been cruised for the last 6 years and has had several enhancing modifications. The person doing the survey took exception to the batteries (4 house and 1 cranking)being under the dinette settee. Could anyone advise on the standard battery location for a 34? Thanks, Mike

Mike, What you describe is the way the boat was designed. You wrote: "The person doing the survey took exception to the batteries (4 house and 1 cranking)being under the dinette settee. I find it difficult to understand why a supposedly compentent surveyor would object to the ONLY place one could place those "nasty" heavy batteries. We've found it's hard to drag them in the dinghy and still keep them connected, electricly. If you haven't yet discovered this amazing resource, just use the link. The information on the C34 website, "before you buy," is priceless; we used it five years ago and were "smarter buyers" as a result - no problems, then or now. The C34 website is even more fun when you've completed your purchase, and you will enjoy your new boat.
