I was preparing to haul my boat for the winter and noticed today that when I switched the rocker switch for battery meter from battery one to two, there was no indication on the meter. The main battery switch was turned to battery one, two and both with no indications on the meter. The boat has been on shore power for four days. The meter showed fully charged prior to going sailing for the day last Saturday. I started the auxiliary and the alternator show that it was charging at 13.5v. Before I contact a mechanic/electrician, any suggestions would be much appreciated! Regards. Chris Connor Spooky 2002

Use a test light to see if you are getting power

to the rocker switch for the gauge, if yes then put light in place of voltmeter to check the meter. Circuit to meter is usually wired to be live regardless of battery switch position, I'd bet it's either circuit to the meter or the meter itself.
