Installed a new TrueCharge 20+ charger 11.3 months ago. Seems to be failing; two (2) dead batteries, and no obvious short or current drain. Anyone have any problems or comments on this charger from XANTREX? Need help! Thanks!

What were the batteries condition....

Otto: What was the condition of the batteries when you installed the charger? New? used? What type of batteries and what size?

Batteries are new

Two new Trojan deep cycle 150's installed in late march. Charger appeared to be OK for awhile, and indicator lights appear normal, but batteries were 'dead';

I had this problem with a Guest Charger

Both my batteries were drained.Someone on here told me I probably had a short but after ohming the entire system out,what had happened is that they cut the A/C off to work on it and when they did the charger sucked the juice out of my batteries.I have been told that I should have a cutoff between my charger and my batteries so that this does not happen again.It could be fact or fiction.

Check with Xantrex.

Paul: I am not sure about what you are being told. I would check with Xantrex. Are you sure that you did not have a DC power drain. Your batteries may have discharged because of this drain.

I've had good experience with Xantrex

My experience with Xantrex over my charger problem was excellent. They have an 800 number and both their tech support and customer service folks were very helpful and nice.
