Battery Amperage App

After running low on battery power after leaving the AP on too long before an overnight, I wrote a little application for my Android phone to calculate my daily amp usage. Worked pretty well and I kept adding little bits to it over the last few months. Turned out to be useful -- to me at least -- so I have put it up on Google in case anyone would like to have it.

There is no cost, and no advertising, so I hope this post doesn't bother anyone. Also, as I don't expect many downloads, I'm not going to take the time to make an iOS app. But I would love to hear if anyone else finds it useful.

Mike, that looks like a very useful app for easily and dynamically calculating a DC amperage budget. An important task that people always seem to want to avoid. Nice! Wish it was available as an apple app.

Thank you... I have downloaded it, looked at it, and I think it will be a very useful tool.
I have NOT actually used it yet, but when I do it will tell the tale...

but for your continuing efforts its well worth a coffee or two... I think you will be surprised about how many downloads it will get.

I like that it is simple without a lot of confusing formulas that attempt to explain something that us non-scientists care nothing about, as most of us only care about the bottom line answer...

Thumbs up!!!

on the "set up my boat" page.... total battery amps at the top. it should also have a space for the total amps available from the house bank, as different battery types will have a different draw capacity.... to stay within recommended limits.

I was going to say that these items should be added/modified,
gas valve...
sea water galley pump...
interior lighting should be seperated into master berth, vberth and salon...

but then I see we can add to and modify our own page.... absolutely great!

Thank you both very much for the kind words.

Simple was the key, as I originally made it for myself and didn't want to confuse myself as I was trying to fill a need. When I put it up to offer to the public, had to open up the types of devices and allow for users to enter their own -- not every boat is like mine LOL! So, hopefully flexible :)

Great to see people might find it useful.
