I am resetting our Xantrex Link 2000. I am not sure how to calculate our existing battery capacity. We have 4 six volt batteries in 12 volt series. So effectively two banks of 12 volts. Each of the 6 volt batteries is rated at 130 amp hr. What is the total capacity of the whole bank. Is is 260 amp hr or is it 520 amp hr??
Most golf cart batteries are 210 - 245 Ah rated. The average would be a 225Ah GC2 battery.
When you wire in SERIES Ah's stay the same but VOLTAGE is added
When you wire in PARALLEL Ah's are added and VOLTAGE stays the same
A series parallel bank of four 6V GC2 batteries would be about 450Ah's,
WHEN NEW.....
In order to properly set your Link 2000 you'd need to know the
current Ah capacity, Peukert etc... If both of these banks are used as house batteries then they should be wired in series>parallel for one large bank..
