Batteries

I have a 89 Cat with three batteries. There are also two red switches by the batteries. One is by the rear battery and the other is by the main panel. These swicthes are for on, off, and start. Are they both supposed to be on start or just one. Thanks for your reply.  Russ

It depends on how it's wired

Russ, you should trace the wiring from each battery to the switches and draw a diagram. That's the only way to know for sure.
