So, just wondering - I've got a 2007 Catalina 309. House is a 4D and Emergency batt is a group 27. Balmer Battery gauge. Have had the boat going on 2 years. After excellent advise from forum (and MS) I tend to charge the batts after each use (normally daysailing with some fridge use). Almost never get the house below 90%. Occasionally start using the emergency batt to test it's still viable but usually solely use the house. Charging is from shore power Blue Seas P12 (and minimal engine).
Every month or so I check the water in batteries. In spite of FL heat/etc, the water has never seemed to go down.
Am I just lucky?
