The H27 Cherubini was the cheapest boat ..
in its class as you can probably tell by its diminutive winches, lack of a traveller and other inexpensive components. To answer your question, no there was no isolator as standart equipment for this boat. Don't get me wrong I love the boat, its design is first class and the hull is overbuilt and construction quality was very good but the reality is that to cut cost down they used inexpensive components and did not include anything that was not necessary. I do not know of any production boat to this day that includes isolators as standart equipment. Hunter sells their new coastal cruisers with just one battery. Todays smart chargers will protect against frying a battery and the isolator comes into play mainly to prevent a battery that has gone bad from discharging the good one. What I do is keep the battery switch on one or on two but never on both unless a starting boost is necessary and then just briefly. Old time battery management. You make a habit of it and you won't forget. It also helps to inform your crew not to touch the switch.
