I installed a similar system (Tidewater) on my H410 and it works GREAT! Recommended! Bill on STARGAZER

On my 33.5 I was having the same problem, and after reading some of Don's sail trimming advice I came to realize the mainsail outhaul was to tight. When I losened it for sail trimming I found my main comes down much easier. Killed two birds with that one!!!

1/2 Strong Track

I have a full batten main on my 33.5 and when dropping the sail
it only comes down 1/2 way. I was wondering if any one has used
the Ronsten Trackless Batten Car System and if it made big difference..
Thanks

I took my main to my sailmaker to have articulating sail batten pockets installed. he put on the Strong Track ends with slugs. Good move since it would be simple to add the track later if it didn't help. Well, it isn't necessary. The main drops like a stone now. BTW, I re-did my webbing on my 32 Vision to make it much more flexible so that the slugs did not bind so badly as the battens twisted. Worked well.

Nice find!

One of the hidden advantages of using the track is it allows reefing from almost any point of sail. With the strongtrack we can reef our 36.7 main while sailing downwind under spinnaker.. something that would be impossible without the track.
