My batons break lose in heavy weather any suggestions I have none left can someone give me the dementions

I drilled a small hole near the end of each batten. Thread a six inch piece of whipping line through the hole. After the velcro flap is closed over the batton, tie the whipping line around the velcro flap. Haven' lost another batten since. This remaining ends of the whipping line could also be used to tie some tell tales on. Jeff

No Jean, batons are used in other sports
such as baseball (bat), or hockey (stick) or ski (poles). Battens are called lattes (pronounced lat as in Lat & lon). Not to be confused with cafe latte ! More seriously, I had velcro strips with a little rope sewn on going over the battens several inches inside the pockets. I push them in with a long screwdriver, with the little rope staying out. When I want to remove them, I pull on the little rope which breaks the velcro contact and brings the strip out of the pocket. No problems since installed 5 years ago.

D - From an archive post, I found the sizes for the 260: (2) 30and3/8" (1) 39and5/8" (1) 68" The 68" appears to be about a 1/2 inch too long, but you can try it. The suggested width is 5/8th. Just a note - the H26 sizes are a bit different. You can order bulk batten stock from West Marine (just double check the length when you pick it up - I always seem to get about 2' short of what I ordered, which is just annoying...) Use a fine bladed hacksaw, sail tape to cover the ends and go at it. Dave Crowley s/v Wind Dreamer
