Barrier coating

I purchased a used 1984 Cat. 22 this fall. The owner said that he had barrier coated the bottom. There are no blisters that I can see, and the bottom looks good. My question is does this have to ever be done again, or is this a one time thing? Thanks for any help.Dale

Should be a One Time Thing

If the additional barrier coating was done properly over a properly prepped bottom, it should be a one time thing. Both VC Tar and the Interlux (I think) systems are epoxy and seem to completely eliminate water permeation into the lay-up and thereby prevent osmotic blisters.SteveAlchemist C-320
