WELL GUYS, I ENDED UP PUTTING 3 COATS OF INTERLUX 2000E AND 2 COATS OF INTERLUX ACT ABLATIVE BOTTOMCOAT.IT CAME OUT NICE AND I FEEL A LOT BETTER AND IT WAS EXPENSIVE.HAS ANYONE HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH SIKKENS MARINE CETOL OR WEST MARINE'S WOOD PRO? I LIVE IN A LOG HOME AND HAVE USED SIKKENS ON THE EXTERIOR LOGS WITH GREAT SUCCESS.THIS IS NOT THE MARINE FORMULA BUT THE FINISH STILL LOOKS GOOD AFTER 10 YEARS.I WAS ALSO WONDERING WHETHER IT CAN BE USED OVER MY TEAK HAND RAILS.ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE ON RECOATING EXTERIOR BRIGHTWORK GAINED THROUGH PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

Not Sillens, Please

I just do not like the appearance of Sikkens on a boat. The grain is coated and it has a paint like appearance. For a really great look, after the wood has been prepared, apply Epifanes exterior varnish in the number of coats Epifanes reconmends. In this climate it lasts a full season and all the next season needs is one or two fresh coats to hve an outstanding teak appearance.

The E

I think it stands for engine since some 27s have an open transom for an outboard I find the E 27s about 7-10k higher in cost than other 27 listings Uwe
