Say what?!?
Maybe it has worked for others, but there's no way I would use a belt sander, especially one loaded with 80-grit, to do the bottom of my boat. Belt sanders are designed to make things flat -- period. Put one of those bad boys up against the subtle curves of your boat's bottom, and it's goodnight Irene. If you really feel compelled to take a sander and coarse paper to the bottom -- whether as a barnacle buster or to prep before painting -- use a random orbit sander. Ideally, use one with a dust bag or vacuum hose attachment.Jeez, Buck, I sure hope you were kidding.Petes/v EmmieLou (Oday 322)Little Silver, NJ
