I am looking for the key that fits into the two holes to unscrew the top of my Barlow winches on my 1987 O'Day so I can service them.
Anyone know where I can get one??

Seems everyone with Barlow winches has the same problem. The common solution is two (small) screwdrivers held with vise grips or a wrench or a combination thereof or something similar that you have available.

I don't have that kind of winch. But can you drill two appropriately spaced holes in a piece of hardwood, drive two nails and cut off the pointy tips?

Hey,

it's really very simple to unscrew the cover. Just find two bolts or even two screwdrivers that fit (loosely) into the holes. Then put a winch handle into the winch and use that to unscrew the cover.

Piece of cake!
