Ball size for hitch

Don't want the dealer to think he has a done deal by me asking this question. What size hitch ball is required to tow a Hunter 240? Factory trailer. Want to go prepared.Jack

Size of ball is equal to hitch.

If you know the size of hitch, the size of ball is easy. I don't think there is any universal size for a H24 or anyother boat, although I would imagine that it is probably a 2" ball.

hitch ball size

I think it is two inchs but to be sure it will be marked on the coupler of the trailer. My suggestion is don't bring a hitch ball at all and let the dealer install the correct one as part of the deal.

It's not the size it's how you use it.......sorry couldn't resist. It is a 2" ball.
