This Thursday, My girlfiend and I are going south to Florida and our 32 Hunter "Soufflistic Bliss". We have reservations at Bahia Mar Yachting Center. Great Place

I have stayed at Bahia Mar several times over the last few years and have always had a great stay. Great amenities and very professional staff.There is a ton of stuff to do within walking distance. My job keeps me in a hotel just a few blocks away on the "strip" so i am familiar with most of the bars/resteraunts right around there...It many not be the most peaceful area, but you won't run out of things to do!Brian s/v "Crew Rest"

No Don, It's already there. I plan to sail her home in a couple of months ddepending on what work is up to. I'd welcome some company for the return trip though

Do you have reservations

I have been there a couple of times, and you should enjoy it. It is not cheap this time of year.Try Los Olas BLVD. for good food and sight seeing.Ft. Lauderdale is about 24 miles south of my dock in Tropic Bay in Delray Beach ,which is also on the Intercoastal Waterway.Good luck on your trip.

Day tPlus Trips!

Couple of suggestions ..... Sail south to Miami, come into Government Cut past the huge cruise ships and spend a day or two at the Miami Beach Marina. Lots of restaurants and clubs within walking distance. Reserve a slip in advance. For a little longer cruise, sail to Miami and come into Biscayne Bay at Government Cut or Biscayne Channel. (See chart). Head south inside to Boca Chita Key where there is a neat little protected lagoon with dockage. Busy on weekends but OK if you arrive early. Great views of the Miami skyline and red sunsets!
