I am planning another trip to the island of Bimini in the Bahamas for May 2007. I made the trip in May of 2006 and had a great time. Two of my brothers and I sailed/motored our Mac 26M over with three other Mac's. We stayed 9 days at the Blue Water Marina. We are thinking of making another trip in May of 2007 and would like at least a couple of other Mac's to make the crossing with us. We plan to stay at least a week, so you would need at least nine or ten days of sail time plus your travel time to Homestead, Florida, and back to your home port. Marina fees in Bimini run $30 or $40 per night plus the Bahamas entry fee of $150 to the Department of Immigration. You will need a passport. We plan to launch from the marina in the Homestead Park. If you are feel you are experienced enough to make this voyage and are serious about the trip, drop me a line. Your boat should be sea worthy and able to make at least 6 mph on the crossing.

Lowell, That sounds like a terrific idea! Unfortunately, we will not be ready to go until later next year...If we are lucky...It may be 2008 realistically. But I would LOVE to hear about your trip! Skip

I thought

that for the Bahamas a passport wasnt needed, but instead a passport or two other forms of identification, like drivers license, and birth certificate etc.??????
