Bahama Bound

I understand one can get stuck in the Bahamas when winter comes. Cold weather, cold water and small unpredictable weather windows to get in and out of many anchorages.

During the Christmas Tradewinds that sometimes last into February, I have been stuck hiding in snug anchorages in the Bahamas for many weeks at a time. I once saw snow flurries in the Abacos. Weather is always a crap-shoot.

Made it to Lake Worth. Window is open on Monday for passage. Running out of vacation time, unsure if we can go. Need time to get home.

Bahamas mission scrubbed. Weather window didn't open in time. Still a working man and have to get back to work. One of few boats working north up the ICW.
