Bad Luck to Re-Name a Boat???

Assuming that there's something to "luck" in the first place: do you think it's bad luck to re-name a boat; and if so, why?

Know of any examples in history that support the superstition?

I'm with you, no such thing as luck.It's a chance happening, either to the good, the bad or somewhere in between.
