Well, what was suppoesd to be a great day turned out terrible! Beautiful weather, sunny, 10-15kt wind, 2-4 seas. Headed down nice and early to do a "quick" change-out of the CTL for my new Dutchman (the 1st one was too short). That took 3 1/2 hours. Friends were running late, so no big deal. Finally ready to go, started the engine, ran it for a while, shut her down to grab lunch. Came back....no start! Pulled the plugs and fired the engine to clear the flooding. She started up fine....then boom...blew out my exhaust! Water everywhere!!!! I guess it could have been worse, I could have been underway! Excellent weather ahead for the weekend....I'll be pulling a manifold!!! I'm sure it will take an exponential amount of time longer that it should!! I should stock up on some more Captain and add some tunes to the iPod. Ahhh, oh well. I guess it could be worse! I could be at work!!!!!!!!!! Jack Manning s/v Victim of Fate Atlantic City, NJ

Jack, any day on the boat is good.

Even if you are getting more intimate with her than you wanted to. You are right, it may take longer.:) hope you get sailing r.w.landau

DON'T ENVY YOU

While I agree that any time on the boat is good time, and getting more familiar with it is also good, I certainly don't envy you this project.
