So far I've got some really useful advice on finding a boat to match my needs - thanks to all. I am looking for something in the 23-25 ft. range that can accomidate two adults two small children. I would really like a trailer so that I can pull it in and out whenever I want to work on it, etc. Also, an enclosed head would be great. Have any of you owned a boat in this size range that you DIDN'T like? Why?

No bad boats, only bad owners!

Ok, we're not talking pets here, but the reality is that good used boats are in fact more about how they've been treated through the years than anything else. There are certainly more "lighter duty" boats than others, but boats typically serve their intended purpose. You can't go wrong with a popular manufacturer like Catalina, O'Day, Hunter, Beneteau, Islander, Columbia, Ranger, etc. Enjoy the search! Trevor

good boats

I owned an O'Day 240 and loved the boat, very roomy for its size, easy to handle and was trailerable. My kids were 11 & 7 at the time and we all fit well.
