Backup Manual Freshwater Pump

Greetings,I just purchased a Catalina 30 which has a freshwater pump. However, liking redundancy, I don't relish the idea of my access to our water supply being dependent upon: 1) the electric pump; and 2) 12 VDC. So, my question is: Is it possible to install a manual, faucet-type pump (like this: http://www.catalinadirect.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1079) in place of the normal, kitchen-style faucet there now, or will that damage the manual pump (or impead the flow of the electric pump)?Or, is there another solution that hasn't dawned on me, yet? Manual Water Pump

I have a foot pump that takes water from the line to the electric pump, and comes out of a seperate faucet along side of the main faucet. The manual pump has a one way valve between it and the source to prevent the electric pump from drawing air.

Sounds like a solution

to the problem. I guess I'd just have to drill a hole in my sink top and run another fresh-water line...Thanks, Mick.
