Beneteau Beneteau Oceanis 323 Portishead
Hi all,
Anyone fitted a backstay tensioner on a Beneteau Oceanius 323 with twin backstays. I need to be able to tension for a little racing and need details for sailing in the Bristol channel UK. I understand twin rollers will work, anyone have any experience of this system? or any other info.
Regards

Start with two wire blocks such as the Harken HAR308, one on each stay. About ten feet above the deck, tie the two together with a piece of dyneema line (wire would be better) with a forged "O" in the middle. Add a block to the bottom of the "O" and a block with a camcleat at the back of the cockpit, and run your control line between the two. Similar to systems 3 and 4 here: http://www.mauriprosailing.com/Harken/Harken-Trimming-Systems/Backstay-Adjuster.htm

The only difference is that the blocks on the stays will be further apart.
