backstay - 23' ODay

I am setting up my '81 23' ODay for the first time (purchased last fall) I amunfamiliar with the backstay arrangement and am confused with the fittings forthe cable end and how it attaches to the transom chainplate. The rest of the shrouds, etc seem OK. A photo and brief explanation would be a great help as itappears that I may be missing something. Thanks for any help here.Bill Mac

Very helpful - this is exactly how it appeared to go together but it just didn't look right the way the triangular piece was twisted. Thanks a lot,your prior owner was very thoughtful.Bill Mac
