Backrests, anyone?

Hey guys,

So, took the boat out for its first sail today. Went well. Still some bugs to work out. Was pressed for time.

Quick question: Has anyone ever made any "back rests" for the Cat 22? Sure seems like it would be comfortable with your back against the stern pulpit and legs up on the seats.

I sewed a sunbrella bag for my mainsheet and it hangs from the stern pulpit by two snap loops. It is indeed comfy, especially when there is a lot of line it it. I just put it in front of the vertical support pole just outside of the traveller bar.

Were I to do another one, I might consider a thin piece of ABS as a stiffening support, with a little closed cell foam. Retain a pouch for storing your mainsheet. It is nice, and keeps things tidy, yet quickly accessible without having to uncoill your mainsheet in a hurry!
