backing plates

A week or so I posted looking for info on backing plates. Those the weighed told me not to do what I was thinking about. The recommendation was one piece like 4 inches wide. I found a place that you can get any metal and they cut it to the amount you need. THe place is www.onlinemetalsupply.com online metal supply. They were fast and seems to be easy to deal with and a easy website to use.

Not bad. Prices are comparable to what I've seen at our local Metal Mart.

I forgot to mention Acorn nuts need to be added on the ends of the relocated main halyard winch bolts. Just allow a 1/4" to your bolt lengths. I had to add them to my genoa track and main halyard clutch thru bolts as well. Glad you found your backing plates. Charles
